Mission Statement
The mission of Teens Above The Influence is to promote and teach the message of abstinence from drugs, alcohol, violence and sexual activity before marriage to the youth of Holmes, Jackson and Washington Counties. We, as a team, agree that abstinence frees us to make healthy choices for today and all our tomorrows. Each individual has the power to make or maintain the abstinence commitment in their life. Teens Above the Influence understands the physical, mental, emotional and social benefits to be gained by delaying sexual activity until marriage. We are determined to spread this message through current information and ground-breaking activities, thereby reducing teen pregnancy and the transmission of STD’s; assisting the State of Florida in improving the health of children and youth in our counties. We aim to educate the public on health issues as they relate to improving the health and emotional well being of our community. By doing so, we act as an advocate for positive and innovative change in our youth.
